Adjustable head restraints must be adjusted properly, as specified in this section. They may provide additional protection against injury in certain rear end collisions. Head restraints supplement the other vehicle safety systems. This may cause objects to break or cause the passenger room to be soiled. Do not operate the walk-in mechanism with objects, drinks, etc. When operating the walk-in mechanism, be sure that the second row seats are not occupied by passengers and/or any objects to avoid possible injuries and/or damage. When operating the walk-in mechanism, be sure not to contact any moving parts to avoid possible injuries and/or damage. If the seatback is tilted down quickly and then allowed to slide, there is a risk that it could contact your face or other parts of your body, or pinch your hand or foot, causing injury. When operating the walk-in mechanism, push and hold the seatback and operate slowly. The second row seats can tilt and slide for easy entry/ exit to/from the third row seats.Īfter operating the walk-in mechanism, be sure to return the seat to the rearmost position and then tilt up the seatback until it latches. If they are not completely secured, passengers may be injured in an accident or sudden stop. When returning the seatbacks to the upright position, be certain they are completely secured in the latched position. When cleaning the seat, never use gasoline, thinner, or any similar materials. Any liquid spilled on the heated seat should be removed immediately with a dry cloth. This may result in damage to the seat heater. Do not place anything hard or heavy on the seat or pierce it with a pin or similar object. Otherwise, the seat may become overheated. Do not put anything on the seat which insulates heat, such as a blanket, cushion, seat cover, etc. Do not use the seat heater for extended periods or when no one is using the seat. The battery could run down if the seat heater is operated while the engine is not running. When the vehicle's interior is warmed, or before you leave the vehicle, be sure to turn off the switch. The indicator light will remain on as long as the switch is on.
